Product designer with 12+ years of experience, working closely with founders, product leads, and design and engineering leadership. I’ve led up to ten designers while staying hands-on, and today I use AI to turn ideas into working builds up to 3× faster.

I grew up in Shillong, where ideas and stories always came first. I won several competitions, including a peace poster competition awarded by the Governor of Meghalaya, recognised for the strongest concept rather than the best artwork. In junior college, I directed skits and made craft pieces, which became my portfolio for design school, where I trained in user experience, graphic design and filmmaking.
Into design
I began in advertising as a junior art director, creating campaigns for Domino’s and Dr. Batra’s, then moved into communication design for social impact. Working with startups drew me into UX, and I have focused on digital product design ever since.
A decade in product
For more than ten years, I have designed B2B and B2C products for startups and enterprises. I have led teams of up to ten designers while staying hands-on, and briefly managed business analysts and content writers. I made product videos a standard part of our pitches. In 2021 and 2022, I also taught a UI/UX elective at Ambedkar University to master’s students from philosophy, political science, gender studies and design.
How I work today
I work forward deployed: close to the people shaping a product, from founders and product leads to design and engineering leadership, turning early ideas into something worth building on. With AI, I now hand over working builds made with Claude Code, about 70% ready, instead of design files alone, so developers review rather than rebuild. Ideas reach the table about three times faster.
